Carrier Oils

Carrier oils are plant based oils used directly on the skin to nourish and moisturize or to dilute essential oils and “carry” them to your skin.

Most carrier oils are unscented or lightly scented and don’t interfere with an essential oil’s therapeutic properties. They can be used as a massage oil base, for salves or other medicine making recipes or  mixed with other oils to nourish your skin. If using essential oils, always ensure they are diluted with a carrier oil before applying topically.
