Herbal Medicine Student clinic

Approximately once a month our low cost mini herbal medicine consultations are available to the public at a reduced cost. The initial appointments run approximately 45 minutes with additional time needed to prepare any recommendations and products.

Alchemy & Elixir Health Group is an approved herbal medicine clinic for students completing their herbal medicine education. The consultation is either with an advanced student conducting the consultation (with the clinic supervisor, present in the room) or with beginning students observing the consultation techniques and practicing their case history recording skills. The instructor guides the student through the appropriate assessment and reviews the proposed personalized health program so that you can be confident that you are receiving the most appropriate information regarding your specific health history from the student.

Herbal medicine recommendations may include specific custom blended herbal teas, medicinal tinctures, capsules, aromatherapy, and topical creams. in addition suggestions for nutrition and lifestyle recommendations may be provided.

Preparing for your initial Student Clinic Consultation

To book an appointment, please email us at: info@alchemyelixir.com indicating your interest in booking a student clinic appointment in the subject box and we will let you know what upcoming dates are available or place you on a waiting list for the next student clinic dates. In person at our Crosstown location, in Vancouver, BC appointments and online Skype appointments may be available.

Intake forms will be sent to you via email prior to your appointment. You will be asked to complete the clinic intake form in advance of your consultation and prepare a 3 day diet diary of what you typically eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

For your initial visit to the student clinic, please arrive 15 minutes before the start of your appointment time.

The student consultation is $25 plus GST – any medicines or vitamins recommended are additional. We accept cash, visa and mastercard.

If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, please contact us as soon as possible to allow that appointment time to be made available to other clients who are on a waiting list for an appointment. Thank you.

Follow Up Clinic Consultations

Follow up student clinic appointments occur approximately 2 weeks after the initial consultation. During the follow up appointment we will review any questions that have arose since the initial visit, review your progress with the recommended health program and make any adjustments in your custom blended formulas and recommendations. Follow up consultations are available in person at our Crosstown location, in Vancouver, BC appointments and online Skype appointments may be available.

The follow up community clinic consultation is $25 plus GST – any medicines or vitamins recommended are additional. We accept cash, visa and mastercard.

The community student clinic offers the public herbal medicine consultations at a reduced rate, while allowing hands on experience for advanced students enrolled in herbal medicine programs. This enables students to fine tune the art and skills of case history taking, communication skills, learn physical assessment techniques, master the proper use of medical equipment and to practice their formulating and dispensing skills.
