Traditionally the leaves of black walnut have been used for their astringent properties, for hemorrhoids, liver and gall bladder issues, used to stimulate the appetite and as a gentle laxative and a topical wash for skin conditions such as eczema, warts and athletes foot. A poultice can be used for healing external ulcers. Also contains anti fungal, anti candida, anti inflammatory and anti viral properties, an insecticidal against bed bugs and mites.
